Process improvement leaders are necessary for process improvement to happen, but the leader is rarely one of the main doers. The leader must rely on the subject matter expertise of the team members for every stage of the improvement process. All Operators, Mechanics, Electricians, technicians, (i.e. all direct labor) and Supervisors should receive the Lean practitioner training. They learn and apply Lean Principles, both in the classroom and on the factory floor.

- Statistical Process Control (SPC) – The Why’s and How-To’s
- Lean Simplified book and course workbook
- Factory-floor project to identify opportunities
- Presentation to management (not within the 16 hours) on the highlighted and prioritized opportunitieS
